    <p>Position Description</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>This position develops and implements CVG / Structural Heart and IR Business Units US Field inventory strategies and initiatives to achieve service, inventory and Scrap, Obsolescence, Gains and Losses (SOGL) goals. Manages programs and initiatives to ensure on time completion and best practices, standardization and alignment occurs across CVG and Business Units. A critical member within the Supply Chain team (both CVG and BU) and builds strong relationships with Sales, Sales Operations, Customer Care and Finance to achieve goals and objectives.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Position Responsibilities</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>- Collaborate cross functionally (CVG and within BU) to develop and implement strategies, initiatives and tools to maximize service levels, right size inventory, lower SOGL, improve transaction accuracy, use technology and simplify inventory management and visibility. Issue monthly performance metric packages to key business partners.</p><p>- Develop and implement Business Unit US field inventory strategies and initiatives: </p><p>- Work closely with Global Supply Chain, Sales Operations and Customer Care Supply Chain to create and implement field inventory strategies and programs. </p><p>- Manage US field inventory annual target setting process and actions to achieve inventory goals </p><p>- Manage compliance of field inventory programs and initiates</p><p>- Leverage Field and cross functional relationships to drive and influence program execution</p><p>- Work with business partners to create Inventory Management Initiative (IMI) strategies </p><p>- Manage IMI programs to ensure participation, fairness, accuracy, and effectiveness, </p><p>- Manage the short date UBD program to favorably improve SOGL</p><p>- Create and execute Phase In / Phase Out (PIPO) field inventory strategies </p><p>- Identify and implement an optimal distribution strategy from Distribution Center to Hospital / Field personnel</p><p>- Design and implement freight programs to reduce costs while meeting product availability and delivery performance goals </p><p>- Investigate and implement:</p><p>- Solutions to improve inventory visibility and accuracy </p><p>- Use of technology to optimize the process for inventory control and visibility </p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>- Provide tools, communication plans and high touch support to the Field to implement the field inventory strategy and programs, which includes: </p><p>- Optimize inventory and improve inventory weeks </p><p>- Reduce short-dated and phased-out field inventory</p><p>- Support new product launches and execution</p><p>- Reduce Scrap, Obsolescence, Gains and losses (SOGL)</p><p>- Consignment Agreements and Inventory Schedules (CA / IS) </p><p>- Inventory dashboards, reports and analysis</p><p /><p>Basic Qualifications</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>EDUCATION REQUIRED: </p><p>&bull; Bachelor&rsquo;s degree </p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: </p><p>7+ years in Supply Chain, Logistics, Distribution or Program Management with focus on developing and implementing inventory management strategies and solutions while lowering costs through processes, systems and technologies.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Desired/Preferred Qualifications</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&bull; Strong people skills </p><p>&bull; Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills that can convert analysis into strategies and tactical approaches</p><p>&bull; Fosters collaboration / business partner approach </p><p>&bull; Excellent written and verbal skills along with presentation skills</p><p>&bull; Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) </p><p>&bull; Highly developed skill set in project leadership practices including ability to balance risk, effectively influence diverse teams without authority, and ownership of responsibility for outcomes. </p><p>&bull; Excellent downward, lateral, and upward communication skills. </p><p>&bull; Good balance of high level strategic and detailed tactical thought processes. </p><p>&bull; Demonstrated track record of successfully leading projects to completion. </p><p>&bull; Six Sigma or lean sigma experience </p><p>&bull; Contributes innovative ideas that lead to positive business results encouraging and adopting new ways of looking at problems, processes and solutions. </p><p>&bull; Meets customer requirements based on an accurate understanding of their needs and expectations; acts on customer feed-back to improve service. </p><p>&bull; Ability to make timely and sound decisions based on thorough consideration of relevant information and the pros and cons of alternatives</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Physical Job Requirements</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The physical demands described within the Responsibilities section of this job description are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
