    We are partnered with a fast growth, well-funded Business to Consumer Services (B2C) startup that is closing on their Series A round of funding.  They are at a pivotal moment as they look to scale and are hiring a Head of City Launch and Expansion to lead that growth. They will be taking a city launch approach to expansion and are looking for someone with a track record of multi-location / multi-city launch success. They currently have thousands of customers subscribed to their service in Austin, TX and are looking to replicate that success in other cities through an aggressive statewide and national rollout. As they have not expanded to other cities before, we're looking for someone who knows the playbook and come in and teach us. The right candidate can figure it out as they go but ideally we would have little margin for failure and want someone with an established track record of launching new services in new cities. (Think Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, etc) 

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Build Texas and eventually the US City Launch and Expansion plan and roadmap
    • Head up the US Launch & Expansion function (and the team as it grows) and project manage the preparation and launch of Consumer Services in new cities from scratch in a matter of weeks
    • Working alongside management to identify potential market opportunities and define our overall expansion strategy e.g. city prioritization, on-the-ground launch processes
    • Quickly incorporate learnings from your own and others’ launch markets to continually improve the launch process within your remit and those of stakeholders
    • Build a launch toolkit with robust program and project management tools that are easily understood and engaged with.
    • Support in the development of other launch tooling and processes including hiring plans; Ops/Onboarding plans, launch playbooks & checklists

    QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

    • 10+ years in Marketing, Consulting, or Operations
    • Previous experience with city launches and expansions. You know the playbook and can guide us to success while avoiding pitfalls. 
    • Strong project management skills including using data to establish priorities, developing strategies to pursue them, and managing cross-functional stakeholders
    • Ability to balance detailed planning and engagement with swift execution
    • Emotional resilience in fast-paced, high profile, and ever-changing situations
    • Extremely analytical and quantitative in approach. Always thinking about dashboards, KPIs, feedback loops, optimizing structure, and process. Able to do root-cause analysis and problem solve on data and analytics
    • Hyper-local consumer (B2C) marketing experience and any experience launching multi-unit / multi-location services/brands. 
    • Excited about pivoting between strategy and diving in hands-on. 
    • Excited to commit the time and energy required to launch new services in new cities.
