    This position is 100% Remote with a preference for Austin, TX

    Our client is a small but growing leader in the ComputerAided Design (CAD) / Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) space. As their CAD / CAM Engineer, you will support all activities related to Model Based Design/Engineering for all PLM/PDM and ECM programs. You will be on the front lines of developing and deploying CAD/CAM capabilities. 

    We are looking for someone with a strong combination of business skills and technical skills. You have the ability to create a product roadmap and product vision in collaboration with the CEO while also being technical enough to drive product development hand in hand with outsourced development. They have some huge cloud initiatives underway which you will get to drive and the right candidate will have an outsized impact on the company's future and direction. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Drive the development of key product features including a major shift from on-prem to SaaS / Cloud. 
    • Perform capability validation of tool and process requirements. 
    • Deliver prerequisite Engineering Dataset Standards, Methods, updates to installation guides, control documents, and other documentation.
    • Review documentation and design artifacts for completeness, overlapping requirements and solutions, and reuse opportunities. 
    • Support resolution of technical issues

    REQUIREMENTS: 

    • 5 – 10 years of related experience developing products related to:  
      • NX, Catia (CATIA v4, v5, and v6) required

      • 3D modeling applications

      • Solidworks, AutoCad, Creo, Inventor, ARAS, Solidedge

    • C++, C#, SQL, VBA, .NET, ATL/COM 
    • CAD API’s
    • Product Lifecycle Management and / or CAD Data Management tools
    • Applications such as Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer
    • MS Windows and Unix operating systems
    • Experience with drawing release lifecycles
    • Good geometry and mathematical skills
