Our Austin, TX-based client is a leader in the e-commerce tech space and is growing aggressively and investing in the business.

They are building a brand new team working on a new greenfield project and is hiring a Software Engineering Manager to lead the charge. You will be responsible for technical leadership, project management, employee growth and development, and team representation inside the company. You’ll work closely with both the product, and leadership side of the business to understand the needs, and ensure the team is building the best solutions and business priorities are aligned. The most important characteristic is finding someone who has the ability to take ownership, frame and deliver solutions effectively.

Requirements:

• 15+ years of overall experience along with strong experience leading and managing software development teams.  
• Strong Software Project Management skills
• Previous full-stack web development experience would be a plus. 
• Polyglot approach to solving problems. Experience working with a variety of tech stacks and programming languages. 
• This will be a new Greenfield project so coming from a similar startup background will be very helpful. 
• Experience on an agile, SCRUM, or Kanban based software team
• Experience and proficiency in software design and architecture
• Experience in a production environment ( Battle scars and stories welcome )

• Kubernetes and/or Docker
• Any Node or React experience welcome but not essential

Presently they are remote but they would eventually like to welcome teams back into their office in Austin later this year.
