    We are hiring a Cost Accountant for our Austin-based company who is operating in an exciting industry that is rapidly expanding.

    Our client is in a unique spot and primed for growth. They're a well-funded and organizationally stable company that provides global reverse logistics of high quality technology to their resellers and end users around the world. 

    The Cost Accountant will be a key contributor to our client's growth. The individual will lead the implementation of a full costing system and provide continuous analysis of financial and operational metrics. You will possess strong reconciliation skills and literally own the cost analytics and reconciliation across the business.

    They need people who are comfortable in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and are excited about the challenges and growth opportunities that lie ahead.

    Responsibilities: 

    • Collecting data to determine all costs across the business
    • Implementing cost standards across the business
    • Preparing cost of goods sold and production reports
    • Reconciling beginning raw materials, work-in-progress and finished-goods stock
    • Analyzing actual manufacturing costs
    • Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
    • Maintaining Cost Accounting System
    • Assisting in Month end close of the General Ledger
    • Performing month-end cost accounting close
    • Conducts physical inventories and monitors cycle count program
    • Reconciles finished goods inventories
    • Conduct inventory reserve analysis on a quarterly basis and generate reports for senior management
    • Work cross functionally with Sales and Operations to analyze product cost and margin
    • Other projects to assist the company in achieving improved efficiency and financial performance

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills is a must
    • Experience/expertise with Microsoft Dynamics is a strong plus
    • Experience with Salesforce is a plus
    • Demonstrated ability to communicate orally or in written form
    • Significant focus on manufacturing inventory costing and reconciliation
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Demonstrated hands-on problem solving

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
    • 5+ years of direct experience in a high volume environment. (Manufacturing Cost Accounting great to see)
    • Must have a strong Cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principals
    • Experience working with engineering and manufacturing personnel on development and analysis of cost standards
    • Operational experience in a manufacturing warehouse or facility, or high volume inventory a plus
