    DESCRIPTION : Boot Officers are responsible for the enforcement of parking policies for vehicles on the streets that are in violation of multiple parking citations.

    JOB PURPOSE: We are looking for a dedicated employee to assist in the enforcement of the City’s parking citation policies and procedures. Boot Officers are responsible for the installation and release of boots from vehicles. They should always know the appropriate responses, no matter the situation in accordance with established policies and procedures. This position plays a vital role in achieving our revenue growth objectives.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

    • Notify the Dispatcher by (two-way radio) when installing or releasing boot on scaffold vehicles
    • Complete reports for booted vehicles and stolen boots
    • Report existing or potential work hazards
    • Document ALL dispatch and field activities
    • Manage files, call log, data log and correspondence in a monthly/yearly filing systems
    • Assist an administrative team with daily task and special projects
    • Complete all required paperwork and reports in a timely and accurately manner
    • Present daily reports as assigned, detailing service performance
    • Maintain clean and tidy work area
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    JOB REQUIRMENTS

    CANDIDATES SHOULD HAVE:

    • High School Diploma or its equivalency
    • Valid Class E Driver's License and clean driving history
    • Six (6) months of experience in a position requiring public contact
    • Knowledge of City codes, ordinances, and state laws related to parking of vehicles on public streets and properties
    • Knowledge of City streets
    • Ability to walk for an extended period of time
    • Ability to exercise good judgement and tact in tenuous situations

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Boot Officers must be able to lift/carry 25 pounds. They will be subject to walking, standing, sitting, and kneeling to perform essential functions. Working conditions are primarily outside with frequent exposure to temperature extremes, dust, damp/wet surfaces, and high noise levels.
