    Simploy, Inc. is growing! Simploy is a PEO based out of St. Louis MO, a locally-owned company that provides outsourced Human Resources services to small to mid-sized companies. We are currently seeking to hire an entry level Payroll Specialist with excellent customer service and organizational skills to support our growing client base. We are looking for Full-Time employment.

    Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

    • Process payroll and maintain information including time and attendance, new hire data, termination, benefits deductions, garnishments, etc.
    • Assist clients with employee onboarding and making sure done timely.
    • Regular contact with client to discuss payroll needs and process payroll in accordance with client requested schedule.
    • Provide assistance, training and guidance through the HRIS portal to clients as needed.
    • Research and resolve problems, perform scheduled activities, and liaison with service providers.
    • Set up client payrolls and employee accounts.
    • Maintain compliance with federal and state rules, laws and regulations.
    • Document verification and retention.
    • Client service and timely reporting.
    • Clerical and administrative projects to support client needs.
    • Assistance with Benefit Reconciliation as needed

    Ideal candidate for the Payroll Specialist job will possess:

    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Effective and strong communication skills.
    • Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
    • Excellent problem solving skills and judgment.
    • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in an environment with deadlines.
    • Exceptional mathematical skills.
    • Proficient on Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and Outlook.
    • PrismHR software experience is a plus
    • 1-5 year previous payroll service experience required
    • Remote/Hybrid work available varying on the degree of experience and needed training.

    Education:

    • High School Diploma required
    • Associates Degree preferred, not required
    • Certified Payroll Profession certification preferred, not required
