    Simploy, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Specialist with excellent customer service and organization skills to support their growing client base in administrative work, processing payrolls, providing superior service for a variety of client needs and performing other duties to support the Company's service offerings to its clients, including but not limited to benefits, payroll, client set-up and various project activities. This will primarily be an in office position but there is also a possibility of working remotely.

    RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Process payroll and maintain information including time and attendance, new hire data, termination, benefits deductions, garnishments, etc.
    • Set up client payrolls and employee accounts.
    • Regular contact with client to discuss payroll needs and process payroll in accordance with client requested schedule.
    • Provide assistance, training and guidance through the portal to clients as needed
    • Research and resolve problems, perform scheduled activities, and liaison with service providers.
    • Maintain compliance with federal and state rules, laws and regulations.
    • Document verification and retention.
    • Client service and timely reporting.
    • Run Access reports.
    • Clerical and administrative projects to support client needs.

    IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THE PAYROLL SPECIALIST JOB WILL POSSESS:

    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Demonstrated experience as a committed team player.
    • Effective and strong communication skills.
    • Strong skills using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll accounting system.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
    • Excellent problem solving skills and judgment.
    • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in an environment with deadlines.
    • Exceptional mathematical skills.
    • Proficient on Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and Outlook.
    • 2-5 year previous payroll service experience preferred

    EDUCATION:

    • Associates Degree preferred
    • Certified Payroll Profession certification preferred, not required

    SALARY: Starting at $34,000 / year - depending on experience
