    ******Position Summary** : We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Receptionist to join our Urgent Care facility. As an Urgent Care Receptionist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operations of the clinic by providing administrative support to the healthcare team. Your responsibilities will include managing patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, maintaining records, and coordinating communication between patients and healthcare professionals.

    Responsibilities

    • Greet and check-in patients in a friendly and professional manner, providing them with necessary forms and gathering necessary information for registration.
    • Answer and direct phone calls, addressing patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and relaying messages to healthcare providers as necessary.
    • Schedule patient appointments, ensuring optimal utilization of healthcare provider availability and efficient patient flow.
    • Collect and verify patient demographic information, insurance details, and medical history during the registration process.
    • Maintain and update patient records, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to privacy regulations.
    • Coordinate patient referrals to specialists and obtain necessary authorizations from insurance providers as required.
    • Generate and process patient bills, collect payments, and provide receipts.
    • Manage and organize patient paperwork, including medical records, lab reports, and referral documents.
    • Coordinate communication between patients and healthcare professionals, relaying messages, test results, and instructions accurately and promptly.
    • Assist healthcare providers with administrative tasks, such as preparing patient charts, ordering supplies, and maintaining office equipment.
    • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and ensure a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients.
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or complaints.
    • Collaborate with other administrative staff to ensure smooth clinic operations and high-quality patient care.
    • Stay updated on clinic policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to provide accurate information and ensure compliance.
    • Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge.

    ** Qualifications**

    • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
    • Previous experience in a healthcare or medical office setting is preferred.
    • Proficiency in using office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, and scheduling tools.
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and basic billing procedures.
    • Professional and empathetic demeanor when dealing with patients and their families.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in handling sensitive patient information.
