    Immediate opening for a Supply Chain Manager in San Diego, CA who possesses:

    • 5 years of Supply Chain Logistics experience including Forecasting, purchasing raw materials, & finished goods shipments/deliveries 
    • Experience in a Biotech/FDA regulated environment preferred 
    • International shipment experience preferred
    • QuickBooks & Excel experience for inventory management, etc. 
    • Multitasker, driven, etc.

     

    FULL DESCRIPTION: OUR CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR A SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER TO WORK IN THEIR SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA HEADQUARTERS. THE SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER WILL BUILD SUPPLY CHAIN SYSTEMS AND ANALYTICAL TOOLS TO IMPROVE COMPANY SUPPLY CHAIN OPERATIONS, RECOMMEND IMPROVEMENTS TO BOOST PERFORMANCE AND REDUCE COSTS, AND COORDINATE WITH OTHER PROFESSIONALS TO IMPLEMENT CHANGES AND NEW SYSTEMS.

    The selected candidate will further possess:

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • BSc/BA in Logistics, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field
    • Proven experience as a Supply Chain Analyst, Logistics Coordinator, or similar role 
    • Experience in data archival, analysis and reporting 
    • Familiarity with supply chain processes (e.g., inventory planning, warehouse management) 
    • Experience in Supply Chain management of microbes as products is preferred
    • Working knowledge of MS Office, relational databases, and ERP systems
    • Analytical mind with business acumen
    • Outstanding organizational ability
    • Very good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
    • Ability to be fluid and adaptable to changing priorities and needs

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS

    • May be required to travel up to 25% of the time.
    • Should be capable of walking, bending, and prolonged sitting and/or standing during work hours.

    The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:

    • Manage 3PLs and fulfillment partners with focus on operational excellence, cost management, proactively monitoring performance and daily execution.
    • Execute fulfillment and logistics operations for contract research and manufacturing operations
    • Discover and curate the most cost-effective shipping modes and schedules while maintaining utmost product quality and stability
    • Create processes and methods to gather supply chain data, and implement optimization projects to improve time and cost based on data analysis
    • Oversee inventory procedures and manage product inventory to meet sales demand
    • Track KPIs and report on supply chain’s performance
    • Act as point of contact for sales, marketing, and finance team for supply chain information
    • Develop and implement SOPs as needed
    • Other duties as needed.
