    HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT - REMOTE (BIOPHARMA) - SIMPLY BIOTECH

    OVERVIEW

In the role, you’ll work collaboratively to provide a wide variety of administrative support to the Human Resources department! This is an excellent opportunity to make an impact in the organization. This is a 6-month temporary position.

    Immediate opening for an HR Assistant in San Diego, CA who possesses:

    • 1+ year administrative experience working in Human Resources.
    • Strong MS Office application skills.
    • Highly organized with a strong ability to multi-task.
    • Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Reliable and able to work with minimal direction in a remote work environment.
    • preferred biotech/life science/pharmaceutical HR experience 
    • preferred Workday HRIS experience
    • preferred Associates Degree in a related HR discipline

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

    • Provide detail-oriented support in a wide variety of areas within the Human Resources function.
    • Track and upload to electronic employee personnel files of all annual performance appraisals.
    • Prepare employee letters for key employee lifecycle events including promotions, terminations, job title changes, benefits, etc.
    • Assist with the tracking and cataloging of employee job descriptions.
    • Work collaboratively with HR team and other departments to provide various project support.
    • Provide administrative support such as scheduling meetings and event coordination and overall administrative support to the HR team.
    • May perform data entry for new hires, status changes, and terminations, into HRIS system.
    • Assist with the separation process for all exiting employees, prepare termination packets, coordinate last day with payroll, and send appropriate notifications.
    • Assist with the coordination and communication of wellness events and challenges.
    • Support employee service awards and recognition programs.
    • Administer company tuition reimbursement program and coordinate with payroll.
    • Support plan and system audits as necessary.
    • Complete necessary HR filing online.
    • Virtually coordinate with onsite Facilities team members to help route mail and packages within the HR team. 
    • Provide support in the preparation and organization of purchase orders/contracts.
