    Immediate opening for a Technical Support Specialist at our client, an 'essential business', located in Carlsbad, CA who possess:

    • 2 years’ (or less) technical support experience / ideally no more than two years’ experience
    • Technology skills and MS Outlook and Excel experience
    • Multi-tasker in a high fast paced environment
    • Availability for weekends/holidays when necessary – one weekend shift a month & alternating holidays

    FULL DESCRIPTION: THE TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST WILL PERFORM DUTIES AS ASSIGNED BY THE SUPPORT MANAGER IN SUPPORT OF THE CLIENT SERVICES TEAM; THIS INCLUDES COORDINATION OF SUPPORT FOR COMPANY PRODUCTS, MONITORING REMOTE DEVICES AND ALARMS, FIELDING SUPPORT CALLS, MAINTAINING DOCUMENTATION FOR INSTALLATION AND SUPPORT, MANAGING INSTALLED DEVICES IN THE FIELD, SUCH AS WINDOWS CRITICAL UPDATES AND DEPLOYMENT TESTING, TO ASSURE MINIMAL IMPACT AND OTHER SUPPORT TASKS AS NEEDED. HOURS OF SUPPORT WILL INCLUDE ROTATING ON-CALL RELIEF SCHEDULES FOR NIGHTS, WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS. THE TECHNICAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST SHOULD BE COMFORTABLE OPERATING IN A FAST-PACED, UNSTRUCTURED “START-UP” STYLE, TEAM-ORIENTED ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE.

    The selected candidate will further possess:

    • Bachelor’s degree and/or 1-3 years of relevant experience
    • Plus, if network support experience and/or A+ certification
    • Microsoft Office (including outlook, word and excel).
    • Windows 8.1 and 10 operating systems.
    • Security software (including/similar to Windows Defender).
    • Support software (including/similar to Salesforce).
    • Email, scheduling, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
    • Familiarity with bug tracking and agile development tools (including/ similar to Jira).
    • Familiarity of the software development life cycle.
    • Plus, if knowledge in pharmacy and OR clinical settings.
    • Manage multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment.
    • Self-starter with the ability to complete work with limited supervision.
    • Effective analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Manage and prioritize competing priorities and projects.
    • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Apply principles of logical and scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
    • Maintain staff/customer confidentiality and keep an organized environment.
    • Balance and achieve positive results in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, cost optimization and maintain working relationships with fellow employees.
    • Basic mathematical skills

    The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:

    • Remote support internal and external customers.
    • Assist with troubleshooting and provide technical support.
    • Monitor and maintain hardware, software, and other systems.
    • Stage, test and deploy software and system critical upgrades.
    • Phone, email, and walk-up support.
    • Attend all meetings and training as required of the position.
    • Data Entry.
    • Assist with product validations.
    • Assist with creating forms/document templates as requested.
