Mid-sized Roseville law firm seeks a seasoned paralegal with experience in both civil litigation and construction defect areas of law, with a minimum of 10+ years or more of paralegal experience. Reliable transportation and a CDL are a must.
Position requirements and knowledge base includes:
- Ability to propound and respond to discovery.
- Efficiently handle case management order compliance.
- Draft and revise detailed status letters to various clients.
- Review, analyze, and summarize large volumes of records and other voluminous documents.
- Knowledge & understanding of how to operate Adobe Pro a must.
- Prepare cases for depositions, mediations and trials.
- Prepare legal arguments, applications, declarations and motions.
- Prepare legal documents, filings, and/or general correspondence with accuracy and precision.
- Effectively manage the demands of a large caseload simultaneously while working independently with minimal supervision.
- Extremely detail-oriented, organized, critical about accuracy, spelling and grammar and the ability to prioritize with excellent follow-through.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; and ability to write and speak professionally.
- Extensive knowledge of court rules.
- Strong proficiency with computer programs: MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint), Adobe, Time Keeping (TABS) Systems and Internet applications.
Education or experience to include an AA degree; a BA or BS preferred. Must possess either a paralegal certificate or be grandfathered in.
Starting salary is comparable to going rates and will depend on experience. Hours from 8:30-5:00 (flexible). Employee benefits include medical & dental paid by the firm with the option to purchase for qualifying family members. 401k contributions and 2 weeks-vacation are provided, along with 3 sick days and 1-2 floating holidays a year.
