    Job Description

    We are searching for a professionally driven individual to oversee and manage a small office environment with an emphasis on accounting and finance. This individual will directly interface with the Company President and our outside CPA firm on the monthly close and generation of monthly and end of year financials.

    Additionally, this position includes wearing several “hats” e.g. developing, managing, and implementing operational procedures and policies for the business and support services functions of the facility. Proven experience in establishing & implementing accounting procedures, fiscal reporting methods, procedures for payment of invoices and other related activities is necessary. Additional support services will involve direct and indirect involvement with outside providers of payroll, insurance, 401K plans, property control & information technology. Applicants must be of high character, have a great sense of humor, and demonstrate absolute mastery of essential accounting functions. We seek someone who can provide leadership and possesses the experience, skill and desire to help us continually improve processes and administrative efficiency

    PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Implementation of company policies and procedures.
    • Maintain office efficiency by planning and implementing of accounting procedures as well as assigning and monitoring clerical function
    • Direct the work of other employees. This would include selection, hiring, evaluating performance, employee training/development, promoting and any disciplinary action, including termination.
    • Account Receivables; Collections and Cash Receipts
    • Accounts Payables; Vouchering and Payments
    • Cash Management and L.O.C.
    • Company credit card approval, GL coding and posting to the general ledger.
    • Month-end procedures and reporting
    • Understand and execute the monthly process of posting to the general ledger
    • Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements through data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes.
    • Oversee and maintain ERP and Website databases including price sheets.
    • Interface with independent CPA firm.
    • Interface with independent IT firm.
    • Interface with Payroll Service Provider.
    • Active participation and leadership in Staff Meetings

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS

    • Accounting Degree preferred.
    • 7 to 10 years of Accounting and Finances.
    • 7 to 10 years’ experience with hiring, training and supervising individuals
    • 3-5+ years with accounting ERP software (Macola/Exact, QuickBooks or ZOHO Books a PLUS).
    • Strong familiarity with Accounting Principles including chart of accounts, general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, adjusting journal entries.
    • Small and Large company experience.
    • Experience with Multi-Tasking and wearing multiple hats.
    • High proficiency with MS Office particularly creation of Excel Spreadsheets.
    • Experience with SalesForce and/or ZOHO a Plus
