    SUMMARY:

    The Product File Specialist position is responsible for maintaining the ERP’s Product File and all related data files to ensure accurate product information, units of measure, discount/rebate groups, and costs in the Eclipse system.  This position works cross-functionally with our purchasing, sales and branch management on all aspects of the product data system and files.

     

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:

    • Perform routine data management processes to ensure the product file is accurate and information is synced to the product data warehouse (PDW).

    • Load/update all price sheet information for a product based on information provided by purchasing, TSP or IDW.

    • When necessary, help to research unusual costing variances.

    • Help in researching errors in COGS and assist the sales force and branch management with the correction of sales orders.

    • Ensure data integrity between the PDW and product file.  Investigate errors and make appropriate corrections to accurately reflect the manufacturer pricing and company reporting.

    • Support the Sonepar USA Product Team on an as-needed basis, providing staffing coverage for vacations or illnesses and assist with ad-hoc analysis, special projects or tasks as directed.

    • Load in product substitution, reminders, and sell groups as requested by the Opcos.

    • Load in other mass product changes for purchasing agents as needed.

    • Create/maintain customer kits.

    • Load new non TSP/IDW items into the PDW when provided on a new item template.

    • Participate in the resolution of any product-related issues that may arise, as directed.

    • Follow proper procedures for product file maintenance.  Provide recommendations or new requirements to Director of Product File/Rebate Filing at Sonepar USA, as needed.

    • Represent the company’s business interests at all times in a positive and professional manner and conduct business transactions and communications in a fair and ethical manner.

    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    • Work with Purchasing agents on A/P billing discrepancies.

    • Working with the pricing and rebate personnel to find and research causes of pricing and rebate discrepancies.

     

    WHAT YOU NEED:

    • Prefer four+ years of related experience in the electrical industry; or Associates degree or higher, and/or a combination of relevant knowledge through job related experience & training.

    • Organized self-starter, who can work independently with little supervision, effectively prioritizes tasks.

    • Ability to listen and comprehend information from others.

    • Strong verbal and written communications skills to write reports and business documents; and to speak effectively with internal and external contacts within the Sonepar organization.

    • Excellent problem-solving skills are required to effectively perform work, to research issues and follow through to completion or resolution.

    • Solid computer skills; including Microsoft Office Applications (Word and Excel) and ERP experience.

    11. Knowledge of clinical procedures and operations.
    12. Knowledge of supplies, equipment ordering and inventory control.
    13. Clerical, word processing and office skills.
    14. Ability to read and comprehend English at a level necessary to follow written and oral instruction and safety precautions.
    15. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
