    At SingleSprout you will report directly to the co-founder and have the opportunity to make substantial contributions to the entire tech stack, including Back End, Front End and DevOps. In addition to architecting the system, scoping and building new features, representing technology to other business stakeholders and improving our DevOps pipeline, you will manage and lead our existing team of two engineers (and growing). As SingleSprout's Engineering Manager, you will help us solve many exciting problems such as: predicting human behavior to optimize our outreach, merging disparate structured and unstructured data sources to auto-determine candidate quality, learning patterns between company needs and candidate backgrounds to improve our candidate submissions, and designing frictionless workflows to assist our recruiting team.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manage the full development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deploying to production while being a major individual contributor

    • Work with end-users to understand product needs and be a key contributor in the decision making process for developing new systems and features across our stack

    • Establish and maintain metrics to manage the availability of service to ensure our systems continue to scale as we grow

    • Own and operate critical internal services like AWS, Github, Monday, and G-Suite 

    • Build a roadmap to improve and expand needed internal services

    • Own and improve developer tooling with an eye towards self service, reliability, and developer efficiency

    • Manage and mentor two autonomous Software Engineers

    • Develop KPIs to measure and improve your team's performance

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • A drive to learn new technologies and develop unique solutions to hard problems
    • Ability to drive technical decision making through objectively assessing trade offs based on architecture, scope, business priorities, and impacts to the product experience
    • Ability to communicate with non-technical team members to understand end-user needs
    • Ability to lead by example and experience managing others (1-2 years of experience managing/mentoring)
    • Experience working at a startup and/or building products from scratch is a strong plus.
    • Experience with Machine Learning algorithms (Logistic Regression, KNN, Matrix Factorization etc), Data Analysis, and Data Engineering is a plus
