Job Description
We are a boutique law firm with a reputation for being on the cutting-edge of child support collection. We are looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented File Clerk/Office Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will be skilled in computers, organized, and have excellent follow-through. Self-starters with good reasoning skills will find plenty of room for long-term growth and reward.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answer phones and direct calls to the correct person
- Organize and maintain our paper and digital filing systems
- Safeguard data and information
- New file intake
- Prepare correspondence and assist with trial preparation
- Procure documents and records from county and state entities
- Communicate effectively with clients
- Be responsible for mailings, filings, and faxes
- Other clerical duties as assigned
SKILLS
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office, Google Suite, and Adobe
- Good communication skills, both written and oral
- Dependable with a respect to confidentiality and policies
- Excellent organizational skills and great attention to detail
- Critical thinking and reasoning
- High productivity as an individual and as part of a team
- Good math skills
- High school degree or equivalent required
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Legal experience preferred
- Experience working with Legal Case Management software a plus
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus
