Reimbursement and Decision Support Analyst

Sirch, Inc. is currently looking for a Decision Support Analyst for facility that is striving to become one of the top regional hospitals in the southeast. Reports to: Controller

Coordinates, reconciles, and manages the hospital’s cost accounting system. Prepares standard and ad hoc reports. Performs service line analysis. Works with the hospital charge master team to develop and review prices. Maintains knowledge of third-party regulations. Prepares Medicare/Medicaid and other third-party cost reports. Reviews, monitors, and evaluates changes in federal and state law to determine the impact on hospital and physician reimbursement.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or finance and three (3) years accounting experience in cost accounting or reimbursement function. MBA/CPA preferred. Microsoft office applications proficiency.

Essential Functions

• Responsible for coordination, reconciliation and maintenance of the hospital’s cost accounting system. Maintains the cost accounting system and ensures reliability of costing methods used in the application.
• Prepares standard and ad hoc reports from the hospital’s cost accounting system.
• Prepares and analyzes service line reports.
• Prepares or assist in the preparation of proforma financial analysis for new business and/or analysis of existing service lines.
• Assists with data collection and preparation of Medicare/Medicaid cost reports and any other required governmental filings.
• Maintains knowledge of regulatory info related to third party reimbursement.
• Works with the hospital chargemaster team to review and determine prices for the hospital’s chargemaster. Facilitates annual review of hospital prices.
• Participates in annual budget process.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
