Top Skills:
5+ years of relevant design and architecture experience.
Experience working with Application and Infrastructure teams to help design solutions for the enterprise
Heavy scripting/development experience (Java/React/MongoDB)
AWS experience, ability to apply 'future state' cloud-native architecture into account when building design
Job Description: Develop and drive the standards, development processes, systems architecture, and design patterns to support IT and business solutions
Responsible for overall application design and architecture, including new solutions and patterns
Collaborate with business users and stakeholders through design and implementation, including needs analysis and system requirements
Have a broad knowledge of the development process, understanding of a wide breadth of programming languages and methods
Be a self-starter and always open to change. Open to learning new or unfamiliar technologies
Define and refine methodology and standards for setup, design and implementation of the application or technology to meet the needs of the business and IT customers
Generate detailed system requirements with cost projections, cost benefit analysis and ROI
Train and mentor IT team
Qualifications:
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent experience. 5+ years of relevant design and architecture experience. IT experience within managed care environment highly preferred. Demonstrated understanding of business process as it relates to experience in the field.
Additional Information: Centene is currently transitioning their infrastructure towards DevOps/Automation. This role will be help set the strategy for how Databases are integrated into their DevOps strategy. Centene currently has a Hyper-Converged Private Cloud environment with VMware and will be exploring Public Cloud offering.
Work Environment: Collaborative office environment joining a team of 10 engineers.
