    SisuCare is now looking for assignment-based CNA Instructors (LVN or RN) to teach clinical skills to our CNA students.

    SisuCare, is the largest online CNA training provider in the state of California, our program allows students to complete the theoretical coursework self-paced online, from the comfort of their own home, while still working their day job. After completing the online coursework, they will receive clinical training at one of our partner clinical sites across California.

    How you will contribute to the team:

    The CNA Clinical Instructor oversees the clinical training and ensures mastery of course curriculum to include, nursing fundamentals, exam prep, setting student expectations, building knowledge base and clinical skills aimed at assisting students obtaining their nurse assistant certification on their first attempt. Additionally, the instructor provides guidance, mentorship and behavior modeling for our students, preparing them for a career in nursing. Administratively, the instructor will be responsible for evaluating and documenting student's progress, maintaining/submitting accurate training records and ensuring training facility and SisuCare's policies and procedures are followed.

    This is an impactful role, one in which will lay the foundation for success both personally and professionally for our students.

    • Deliver the NATP-approved course curriculum, emphasizing student engagement and participation
    • Clearly communicate student expectations and apply nursing fundamentals and standards of care in educational activities
    • Foster stimulating learning environments, encouraging interpersonal skills development and concepts of good patient care
    • Facilitate engaging class discussions and skills instruction to make learning effective for students
    • Build students' knowledge and clinical skills for nursing assistant certification
    • Ensure students stay on track with the curriculum, completing assignments and mastering required skills
    • Evaluate and document student progress through testing, observation, and skill assessments
    • Maintain accurate records on attendance, schedules, and exam pass rates
    • Utilize technology, such as a learning management system, to manage class activities and monitor student progress
    • Assist students in resolving technical issues and build effective communication channels with them
    • Establish rapport and communicate effectively with students, clinical training facility staff, SisuCare faculty, and potential employers
    • Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Program Director

    Must Have:

    • Two (2) years of nursing experience as an LVN or RN.
    • Two (2) year experience working in a skilled nursing facility.
    • Director of Staff Development (DSD) Certificate. We can assist if you don't have your.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong use of technology
    • Commitment to success.

    • Problem-solving abilities.
    • Ability to perform physical work with patients and students in a clinical setting.
    • Ability to lift, and pull at least 20lbs to 75lbs, stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, and twist.

    Nice to Have:

    • Prior experience in a teaching role
    • Knowledge of adult learning styles

    Clinical Instruction Schedule and Locations:

    Depending on your current job schedule and location, you can pick one of the clinical schedules and locations that suit you the best. This is assignment based, you decide how many clinicals you would like to teach.

    We offer the following clinical schedules at over 40 locations across California from Susanville to San Diego.

    a. Full-time Mon-Fri for 15 clinical days 7am-3:30pm

    b. Part-time-time Mon-Fri for 23 clinical days 3pm-8pm

    c. Weekend program Sat & Sun for 15 clinical days 7am-3:30pm.

    Don't have your DSD Certification? No worries, we can connect you to an approved training provider to obtain your certification. The program is 24 hours of continuing education courses. The typical investment is approximately $99. Once you complete your first clinical cohort with SisuCare we will reimburse the $99 fee.
