Site Manager – Supportive Housing (Direct Hire) | San Francisco, CA
We are partnering with a well-established San Francisco nonprofit dedicated to providing supportive housing and wraparound services to formerly unhoused residents to find an experienced Site Manager for a direct hire opportunity.
About the Role The Site Manager oversees all aspects of daily operations at an assigned supportive housing property in San Francisco. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for property operations, resident relations, staff supervision, and regulatory compliance. The Site Manager reports to the Regional Property Director and leads an on-site team including a Maintenance Supervisor, Assistant Site Manager, and Desk Clerks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day property operations ensuring compliance with housing regulations and organizational policies
- Oversee leasing activities including Housing Quality Inspections, rent calculations, subsidy tracking, and tenant certifications
- Foster positive resident relations, mediate conflicts, and enforce lease terms and house rules
- Supervise and develop on-site staff including maintenance and administrative personnel
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports covering occupancy, demographics, and subsidy data
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours building and resident emergencies
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of property management experience, preferably in supportive or affordable housing
- Supervisory experience managing on-site property staff
- Knowledge of SF housing regulations, fair housing laws, and compliance requirements
- Tax Credit and/or Public Housing Authority experience a plus
- Tax Credit Certification preferred (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid California Driver's License required
Compensation & Details
- Starting salary: $74,700 annually
- Full-time, Monday–Friday | 8am–4pm or 9am–5pm
- On-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
