Site Superintendent – Commercial Interiors | Manhattan 

About the Opportunity

A well-established, NYC-based General Contractor / Construction Manager is seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to join their team in the NY metro area. The firm specializes exclusively in mid-market commercial interior renovations and fit-outs — not ground-up, not heavy civil.

Project types include corporate office build-outs, retail, healthcare/medical office, hospitality, law firm interiors, and landlord amenity spaces. Typical project values range from $1M–$25M.

The Role

You will own the field on active interior renovation projects — managing day-to-day site operations, subcontractor coordination, and schedule execution from start to punch list. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who takes pride in running a tight, professional jobsite.

• Supervising and coordinating subcontractors across all trades
• Enforcing schedule, quality, and safety standards on site
• Conducting daily site walks, maintaining logs, and producing daily reports
• Coordinating with the PM team via Procore on RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Managing NYC DOB compliance, inspections, and site safety requirements
• Representing the firm professionally with ownership, building management, and tenants

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of superintendent experience at a commercial GC or CM in the NYC metro area
• Commercial interiors / fit-out / tenant improvement background required — not heavy civil, ground-up residential, or industrial
• Procore proficiency is required — resumes without it will not be considered
• OSHA 30 or OSHA 60 required
  
• Strong communication skills — you will interface daily with owners, architects, and building management
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Bonus points for: NYC DOB inspection experience, ACP-5/ACP-7 familiarity, experience with occupied building renovations, Bluebeam Revu proficiency.
