    Definition

    Under the direct supervision of the Area Child Development Specialist, the Site Supervisor Support will be responsible for ensuring the overall supervision and quality of an assigned site. The Site Supervisor is also responsible for the care and development of children ages Infants to Kindergarten, ensuring compliance with the California Department of Education, Early Learning and Care Development, Title 5 Funding Terms and Conditions, and Title 22 mandates, providing ongoing monitoring support of site staff, namely Teachers, Teaching Assistants, and Volunteers/Interns and serving as part of the enrollment team. In the absence of the Early Childhood Education Director receive information from the Community Care Licensing Analyst and conduct on-site inspection as needed.

    1. Program Leadership & Compliance

    Oversee the daily operations of the preschool program, ensuring compliance with

    Title 22 and Title 5 regulations.

    Maintain a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning

    environment.

    Ensure all licensing requirements are met, including staff-to-child ratios, facility safety, and emergency preparedness.

    Implement curriculum and instructional strategies aligned with early childhood education standards.

    1. Staff Supervision & Development

    Supervise teachers, assistants, and volunteers, ensuring adherence to policies and best practices.

    Conduct staff evaluations every six months, assessing performance based on:

    o Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP) o Parent Satisfaction Surveys o Student Kindergarten Readiness Metrics o Attendance & Reliability (documenting callouts that impact classroom operations) o Classroom Management & Engagement

    Provide training and professional development opportunities for staff.

    1. Student & Family Engagement

    Foster positive relationships with children, families, and the community.

    Ensure individualized learning plans are developed based on assessments and observations.

    Address behavioral concerns and implement positive guidance strategies.

    Conduct parent meetings to discuss student progress and program updates.

    1. Administrative & Operational Duties

    Maintain accurate records for attendance, student progress, and compliance

    documentation.

    Oversee budgeting and resource allocation for classroom materials and supplies.

    Ensure effective communication between staff, families, and leadership.

    Monitor health and safety protocols, including daily wellness checks for children.

    1. Performance Evaluation & Accountability

    Conduct biannual performance reviews for staff based on established metrics.

    Ensure Title 5 funding compliance, including reporting requirements and program

    effectiveness.

    Address staff attendance issues, documenting excessive callouts that impact

    classroom closures.

    Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance program quality.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor of Arts or Science degree in Early Childhood Studies or a related field.

    Completion of an approved Infant Toddler Training Program and possession of at least 6 units in Infant Toddler Early Childhood coursework.

    Valid Site Supervisor Permit (or must be eligible to obtain one)

    Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Preschool Teacher and at least 2 years of supervisory experience.

    Strong computer literacy with proficiency in oral and written English; bilingual proficiency preferred.

    Physical clearance (including health exam and TB screening) and successful background clearance required prior to employment.
