We are seeking a Site Work Foreman to join the field leadership team. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing earthwork and underground utility crews, with strong earning potential and long-term growth within an expanding operation.
What You'll Do as the Site Work Foreman:
- Lead and supervise daily field operations for site work crews
- Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials to meet production targets
- Interpret civil drawings, specifications, and grade stakes
- Oversee earthwork activities including clearing, excavation, grading, and compaction
- Supervise underground utility installation including storm, sewer, and water systems
- Verify elevations, alignment, and installation quality
- Partner with project leadership on schedule execution and daily updates
- Coordinate with survey teams, inspectors, subcontractors, and vendors
- Identify and resolve field challenges proactively
- Complete daily reports covering manpower, equipment, and production
Must-Haves as the Site Work Foreman:
- 5+ years of heavy civil or site development experience
- Proven experience leading crews in the field
- Strong knowledge of earthwork operations including cut and fill, grading, and compaction
- Experience with underground utility installation such as storm, sewer, drainage, or water
- Ability to read and interpret civil construction plans
- Clear communication skills and strong leadership presence
- Commitment to jobsite safety and OSHA compliance
Nice-to-Haves as the Site Work Foreman:
- Experience overseeing operators running excavators, loaders, and dozers
- Municipal or commercial site development background
- OSHA certification
- Experience managing multiple scopes in fast-paced environments
