    Position Summary

    Carmichael Development is seeking an Estimator to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for sitework projects, utilizing industry-leading software and best practices to support our project development initiatives.

    Key Responsibilities

    Prepare detailed cost estimates for sitework projects including earthwork, utilities, paving, and site improvements

    Utilize Agtek software for takeoff measurements and quantity calculations

    Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to ensure comprehensive understanding of scope

    Solicit and analyze subcontractor and supplier pricing

    Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project conditions

    Collaborate with project managers and field personnel to validate estimates and incorporate historical cost data

    Maintain updated cost databases and unit pricing for estimating accuracy

    Prepare bid proposals and present estimates to management and clients

    Support value engineering efforts and alternative solution development

    Monitor market conditions and material costs to ensure competitive pricing

    Required Qualifications

    3-5 years of experience in sitework estimating

    Proficiency with Agtek software and Procore

    Strong understanding of sitework construction methods and materials

    Experience reading and interpreting civil engineering plans and specifications

    Excellent analytical and mathematical skills

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

    Strong communication and organizational abilities

    Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred, although not required
