Our client is seeking a Sitework Superintendent to lead field operations on heavy civil construction projects. This role is responsible for directing grading, excavation, and earthwork activities while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate grading operations including excavation, embankment, drainage installation, and finish grading

• Supervise field crews, foremen, subcontractors, and equipment operators to maintain production and schedule

• Review civil construction plans and survey controls to ensure accurate grade and alignment

• Monitor jobsite safety, quality, and productivity while resolving field issues as they arise

• Coordinate daily work plans, equipment needs, and material deliveries with project leadership

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience in heavy civil construction with a focus on grading or earthwork operations

• Strong ability to read and interpret civil plans, grade stakes, and survey controls

• Experience with excavation, mass grading, drainage systems, soil stabilization, and aggregate bases

• Familiarity with GPS machine control systems and grade-checking tools preferred

• Proven ability to lead field crews and coordinate work across multiple trades
