SIXGEN would like to add an ambitious, dedicated, and self-motivated DATA ARCHITECT to our team.

REQUIRED:

• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 8-10+ years of experience as Data Architect/Modeler and Data Analyst with high proficiency in requirement gathering and data modeling including design and support of various applications in OLTP, Data Warehousing, OLAP and ETL Environment.
• Extensive experience with Service Oriented Architecture SOA, UML and creation of XML Schema.
• Experience in developing Conceptual, Logical and Physical Data Models for enterprise OLTP applications, Operational Data Store (ODS), Data Hub and Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.
• Extensive experience with Service Oriented Architecture SOA, UML and creation of XML Schema.
• Experience in developing Conceptual, Logical and Physical Data Models for enterprise OLTP applications, Operational Data Store (ODS), Data Hub and Master Data Management (MDM) solutions.
• Strong experience with different project methodologies including Agile Scrum Methodology.
• Experience in developing Data Mapping, Data Governance, and Transformation and cleansing rules for the Master Data Management Architecture.
• Strong experience with architecting highly performance databases using PostgreSQL, MYSQL.
• Experience in designing Architecture for Modeling a Data Warehouse by using tools like Erwin.
• Experience with data architecture including data ingestion pipeline design.
• Extensive knowledge of big data, Hadoop, Hive, NoSQL Databases and other emerging technologies.
• Experience in importing, exporting and general integration of various relational and non-relational and/or relational databases like MySQLX, Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Experience in conducting Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions with SMEs, Stakeholders and other project team members for requirements gathering and analysis.
• Experience in developing normalized data models into physical RDBMS design via forward engineering as well as reverse engineering existing physical structures for analysis and refinement.
• Extensive experience with various data processing platforms and languages including Apache Spark(Scala), Apache Drill, Python, and PostgreSQL PL/pgSQL.
• Good knowledge of Data warehouse concepts and principles like Kimball/Inman, Star Schema, Snowflake, SCD, Surrogate keys, Normalization/De-Normalization for relational and dimensional database environments.
• Experience working with XML and Flat file sources coming from various legacy source systems and residing on Mainframe and UNIX.
• Strong experience in writing SQL and PL/SQL, Transact SQL programs for Stored Procedures, Triggers and Functions.
• Experience creating ETL mapping documents establishing source-target data mapping and ETL strategies by working closely with ETL development team.
• Ability to architect data management enterprise solutions that are in alignment with strategic technology road map and emerging industry trends.
• Proven experience in delivering projects successfully through effective planning, prioritizing, team building, motivating, goal setting, task scheduling and tracking of scheduled tasks to completion.

HIGHLY DESIRED:

• Familiarity with Amazon Redshift

LOCATION:

• Must be able to commute to the job site located in Hanover, MD
