    Job Description

    SKECHERS DIRECT is our corporate shoe program working with major corporations to provide employees with comfortable and stylish work shoes at preferred pricing. You will assist the Store Manager and Assistant Manager in managing the day-to-day operations and personnel of a Skechers Direct Mobile B2B store for the Las Vegas market/West territory. Drive top line sales by driving unit sales, product knowledge, and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include recruiting, staffing, developing, training, coaching and supervising employees as well as managing each assigned mobile store’s daily operations within budgeted goals and expectations.

    JOB SUMMARY:

     Assist the Store Manager in managing the day-to-day operations and personnel of a Skechers Direct Mobile B2B store. Drive top line sales by driving unit sales, product knowledge, and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include recruiting, staffing, developing, training, coaching and supervising employees as well as managing each assigned mobile store’s daily operations within budgeted goals and expectations. Responsible for assisting the Store Manager with establishing, maintaining, and building relationships with existing Skechers Direct B2B accounts to ensure comparable sales growth. It is a condition of employment that you are flexible with regard to hours and days worked and we may need to increase or to decrease your hours based on the needs of our business.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Sell product, product knowledge and customer service.
    • Manages day-to-day operations by ensuring all company policies/procedures are followed and that store payroll and sales goals, as well as controlling operational expenses, as applicable.
    • Merchandise product within rolling cages to create impactful, value-driven presentations to drive units and sales at a high velocity.
    • Ensure that Retail store visual standards are met at all times by ensuring that all displays are properly maintained/cleaned, and all sizes of all available styles are 100% in stock, by partnering with Store and Distribution Center partners.
    • Maintains proper inventory controls by facilitating inventory transactions.
    • Plan, prepare, and execute store-to-store and DC transfers in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Fills open-to-hire positions by recruiting and hiring new employees.
    • Establish, maintain, and develop business-to-business accounts by providing exceptional customer service and professional on-site fitting events.
    • Develop all employees by training them in the following: stock processing, inventory transfers, pricing of boxes, filling and stocking of rolling cages, mobile store maintenance, product knowledge, visual standards, merchandising standards, Retail Concept store customer service standards, B2B opening and closing procedures, and all company policies/procedures.
    • Leads by example and works along-side staff performing work and teaching best practices (IE: shifting bins and walls of product). Expected physical workload and manual labor to be performed by management may be heavy (warehouse environment).
    • Responsible for assigned Store exceeding Comp Sales and/or Sales Plan by training and coaching employees to execute operational efficiencies in order to drive-out units and multi-pair transactions.
    • Supervise employees by enforcing policies/procedures by documenting disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, and reporting incidents to human resources and upper management regarding any violations of company policies/procedures and preparing related documents.
    • Effectively communicates with all store and corporate partners regarding, but not limited to, product needs/selection, inventory concerns, operational efficiencies, event logistics, additional personnel, and store maintenance/housekeeping concerns.
    • Find new and exciting ways to attract customers and potential business-to-business accounts by making recommendations to your direct supervisor.
    • Must be able to operate truck for delivery, loading and unloading of inventories and correspondences to and from offsite/store to event locations. 
    • Must be willing to make all deliveries as well as pick-ups/drop-offs, sometimes on a moment’s notice, ensuring that the truck is loaded accurately and secure with all product as needed.
    • Ensures that loads are properly documented.
    • Provide support in local retail locations when events are not occurring which may require evening and weekend shifts.

    All employees are required to use ladders as an essential function of this job, as that is part of the daily duties to maintain daily operations and in order to service customers. Therefore, dress code and safety policies must be followed. This is also outlined under the PHYSICAL DEMANDS section of the job description.  Employee must have a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is in good standing.

    ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • All other duties assigned by direct supervisor.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

    • Coach, teach, and train staff on B2B store operations and visual standards.
    • Present a professional image in appearance, words, and actions. Demonstrate professionalism and a personable manner which inspires their staff to do the same.
    • Train staff on professional image in appearance and conduct.
    • Build positive team relations, demonstrate ethical behavior.
    • Maintain all safety guidelines.
    • Manage all supervisory functions pertaining to B2B store operating procedures and operations guidelines.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Overnight travel may be required. Travel requirements will depend on specific job location.

    EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION:

    • A high school education or greater
    • 3 years minimum retail management experience – footwear background and/or B2B experience preferred.
    • Hands on working knowledge of retail systems, human resources best practices and operations.
    • Must have customer service experience, professionalism, and personable manner, proficiency with computers, including Excel spreadsheets.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    Ability to read and interpret documents including, but not limited to, safety rules, policies/procedures, and operating and maintenance instructions.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    REASONING ABILITY:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Use suggestive selling skills to build multiple sales.
