    Job Description

    THE ROLE:

    In this role, you will lead Human Resources for our Retail Field Teams by providing exceptional customer service and strategic partnership that results in an engaged workforce and a more productive business. You will be a key member of the Field Leadership Team, partnering with cross functional partners and executive leaders to drive business results. You will be the point person for all HR service requests; collaborate with the business leaders and management in developing recruitment plans, identifying training needs, and advocating for continuous learning for employees where necessary, providing coaching and mentoring support where required. You will partner with stakeholders and business partners in ensuring that the best practices are being adopted, ensuring that key deliverables are met within the specified timelines.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO:

    • Responsible for managing, organizing and directing the overall human resources approach for a business unit. Works in collaboration with various HR departments for execution of strategies developed.
    • Partners with Business Leaders and participate in talent planning meetings to enable growth by developing talent strategies to support business objectives. Helps indentify gaps in leadership capabilities and assist in developing action plans accordingly
    • Work with field leaders in developing recruitment plans and collaborate with talent acquisition to execute strategy; participate in Store Manager interview and selection process and provide hiring recommendations.
    • Work with Regional Sales Manager and Regional Recruiter to plan, prepare and execute new hire onboarding.
    • Champion all Learning and Development activities and work with L&D team to ensure effective change management and implementation strategy; monitor assigned trainings in LMS (Learning Management System) and ensure timely completion and successful outcomes.
    • Analyzes and reports on KPIs and trends related to human capital in the business; leverage data and analytics to provide insights to business efficiciencies and key decisions. Reports on all people metrics as necessary (i.e., turnover, exception reporting etc.) recommending necessary adjustments to senior management with a view of enhancing productivity.
    • Build strong relationships with field leadership and employees to enhance workforce performance by supporting employee development, plan strategic HR initiatives that are aligned with overall business goals of the organization. Ensure the delivery of projects as required as well as ensuring key deliverables are met within the specified timelines.
    • Provide timely support to managers and associates on policy interpretation and other associate relations matters, including but not limited to ensuring legal compliance and quick resolution in workplace investigations, evaluation, and approval of all involuntary terminations.
    • Ensure employee experience is exceptional and drives productivity and employee retention. Work with field leadership to ensure developmental activities are taking place to promote career advancement and increase engagement.
    • Review compensation reports with Field Leadership to ensure consistency in the company compensation strategy; Audit bi-weekly Step Increase Program and resolve identified issues with Retail Operations Department; Lead annual merit increase process for the assigned business unit.

    • Maintain a clear and detailed knowledge of the industry trends, best practices, and labor legislation
    • Travel in person as needed to create strong partnerships and establish a professional presence; leverage technology to connect virtually as needed.
    • Excellent communication skills in presentation, written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
    • Be flexible with schedule and may be required to work weekends on occasion as needed, may include travel.
    • Demonstrate retail business acumen to gain credibility.

    QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND/OR EDUCATION:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent desired.
    • Professional HR certification(s) or working towards completion (e.g. PHR, SHRM-CP) desired.
    • 3-5 years of work experience in providing human resources services, preferably in a retail/multi-unit/multi-state environment
    • Must have a working knowledge of employment laws and/or regulations in various states where assigned
    • Must be Tech/Computer Savvy, with knowledge of Microsoft Suite and various HRIS software desired.

    Additional Information

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and procedures, and operating and maintenance instructions.

    REASONING ABILITY:

    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
