    Job Description

    Our Retail Events Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting the Events Manager with the day-to-day operations of Retail and Wholesale Events and Mobile/Pop-Up Stores at various SKECHERS Direct Accounts or within SKECHERS Retail Stores.  This critical leader drives amazing sales results by driving unit sales, sharing product knowledge, and giving exceptional customer service. Major responsibilities include retail event planning and execution – including but not limited to set up, tear-down and event hosting. Responsible for the mobile truck daily operations and establishing, maintaining, and building relationships with SKECHERS Direct B2B accounts to ensure comparable sales growth. It is a condition of employment that you are flexible with regard to hours and days worked and we may need to increase or to decrease your hours based on the needs of our business. This position requires travel that at times could be up to 75% - which also includes overnight stays. This role specifically covers events in Louisiana, Mississippi and the Gulf Shores of Alabama and Florida Panhandle. 

     

    THE FUNDAMENTALS:

    SALES CHAMPION

    Sets-Up and ensures proper event execution including driving top-line sales at both off-site events and in-store retail events as assigned.  Establishes, maintains and develops business-to-business accounts through on the ground networking and relationship building with local businesses and establishments by providing exceptional customer service and professional on-site fitting events

    OPERATIONS GURU

    Acts like an owner, ensuring proper execution of all event and store operations – including but not limited to stock processing, inventory transfers, pricing of boxes, filling and stocking of rolling cages, mobile store maintenance, product knowledge, visual standards, merchandising standards, Retail Concept store customer service standards, B2B opening and closing procedures, and all company policies/procedures.  Manages profitability by controlling store payroll/expenses.  Operates company vehicles with integrity, delivering and picking-up product (sometimes at a moment’s notice), ensuring accurate inventory and safely transporting between warehouse store and vendor properties. 

    PRODUCT EXPERT

    Confirms that Event Visual and Merchandising standards are met at all times by ensuring that all displays and equipment are properly maintained/cleaned and all sizes of all available styles are 100% in stock, by partnering with Store and Distribution Center partners.

    • Ability to travel by all travel means (car, bus, train and plane) based on business necessity-- travel maybe heavy and up to 75%; travel may also include overnight stays.
