    Job Description

    THIS IS A FULL TIME ON SITE POSITION IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. HOURS VARY 

    Supports various Skechers Distribution Centers (worldwide) through the administration and configuration of the Manhattan Associates WM-i (formerly PkMS) warehouse management system. This position also supports various other software platforms that are used within the warehousing and distribution environments such as Warehouse Control system (WCS), sortation systems (unit sortation and carton sortation) and other hardware platforms including IBM iSeries platforms.

    Qualifications

    • The position requires the candidate has knowledge of distribution center and WMS concepts and common practices.
    • Minimum of 3-5 year’s experience in WMS operation on the Manhattan Associates WMS systems (WM-I version 2007 or later).
    • Must posses the analytical skills to necessary to perform varying degrees of problem determination and resolution.
    • Must be organized, detail oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Must present ideas clearly to different management levels.
    • Must be able to travel to various sites worldwide and possess, or the ability to obtain, the necessary international documentation for travel (passports, visas, etc).
    • Multi-lingual (English primary)
    • WMS Systems Administrator- Distribution Center (DC).  Manages daily activity and conducts administrative tasks for the WM-i warehouse management systems (WMS) at various DC’s within the Skechers’ supply chain.
    • Conducts system training and implementation support in existing and new Distribution Center facilities
    • Administers new user setups and develops ad-hoc reports utilizing SQL and other report writing tools.
    • Analyses new customer requirements and develops detail specifications for program modification and development.
    • Performs various performance measurements and recommends process improvements for all aspects of warehouse.
    • Tests new system functions designs for accuracy, prepares, reviews, and executes unit test plans, reviews business logic and unit test results.
    • Analyze and resolve data integrity issues in the WM-i/WMS systems utilizing various utilities such as SQL.
    • Confers with various levels of D.C. personnel to resolve Distribution Center related issues and evaluates needs for future requirements.
    • Works closely with IT development staff to identify and implement programming changes and enhancements.
