    Job Description

    _ The pay range for this position is $125,000-$137,500 on site at our Rancho Belago location._

    The MHE Manager will be reporting directly to the VP of Facilities & Maintenance. They will provide direction and support to a team of technicians in a multi-facility/multi-shift production environment. They will be responsible for managing the maintenance and repair services for all complex electrical and mechanical Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and systems.

    ** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:**

    • Develops and implements standard procedures to monitor equipment performance, safety, and effectiveness.
    • Coordinates preventative maintenance work based on equipment hours, MTTF reporting and equipment availability.
    • Plans and schedules maintenance technicians, materials, and activities to complete work orders with minimal downtime.
    • Prepares daily and weekly reports on equipment performance, expense management and personnel utilization
    • Collaborates with operations personnel daily on production schedules, flow and any equipment concerns.
    • Manage all hotline service calls in a timely manner and see to it proper personnel have been contacted.
    • Works proactively and collaboratively with Engineering, IT, Operations and HR.
    • Work with MHE supervisors on daily performance tracking of technicians and equipment.
    • Monitor the proper use of CMMS by MHE supervisors and technicians alike.
    • Work with MHE supervisors to ensure proper logging and documentation of daily work orders and parts usage.
    • Maintain a full complement of qualified and capable technicians.
    • Work with parts department to insure an accurate & satisfactory level of inventory across all parts.

    ** ADDITIONAL SKILLS:**

    • Must have knowledge of all applicable safety rules and regulations, with the understanding of extended safety required in the Maintenance, electrical, technical trades required to perform repairs on the above listed equipment through previous training and or job experience as well as any classroom training.
    • Good understanding of the technical features of mechanical and electrical systems.
    • Strong knowledge of production automation and equipment.
    • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to keep the department OSHA Compliant.
    • Extensive knowledge of all company policies and procedures with an emphasis on safety
    • Must be detail oriented
    • Must be able to take constructive criticism
    • Must always exhibit the ability to work in a professional and courteous manner
    • Must be able to perform any other special projects and/or general requests made by direct supervisor as needed
    • Ability to comprehend company customized systems and programs, e.g., WMS,
    • Crisplant, etc.
    • Must be CAL OSHA certified on a Turret, Reach, Order Picker, Walker Rider, Manual Pallet equipment, etc.
    • Ability to contribute hands on.
    • Work with minimal supervision
    • Perform housekeeping duties when needed
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
    • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, facility management, or a similar field is preferred.
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an automated maintenance environment.
    • Managerial experience preferred
