POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are looking for a STAFF SOFTWARE ENGINEER with a very strong understanding of front-end development. While leading other engineers, you will create an expansive, feature-rich web application and provide a clear example of engineering excellence.

LOCATION: THIS ROLE IS OPEN TO REMOTE EMPLOYEES IN SELECT US STATES: TEXAS, CALIFORNIA, NEW YORK, HAWAII, ILLINOIS, COLORADO, MASSACHUSETTS, WASHINGTON AND WASHINGTON, D.C.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, build, and scale sophisticated web components and interfaces
• Mentor junior and senior software engineers on the team
• Estimate the size and complexity of work for planning
• Create technical designs for features and socialize them with your team and relevant partners
• Partner with product, visual experience, and other engineers to create the best possible experience for students and other engineers by providing clear insight into technical requirements and limitations
• Advocate TDD and write unit, integration, and E2E tests
• Promote a collaborative work environment, drive and coordinate engineering team/cross-team/company-wide initiatives
• Steward for best practices and coding standards to the team
• Construct a growing ecosystem of web applications

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Must have at least 3 years experience with Angular 
• Experience with unit testing & Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Experience with a variety of software architectures
• Experience with a variety of API architectures
• Be able to code and architect front-end solutions with multiple types or architecture
• Demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences

EDUCATION:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field
