    Job Description

    Job Functions:

    Working collaboratively with the workforce development and training team, the operations team and the Talent Management and Organizational Development Consultant within OHR, this position will assist with development and delivery of training programs identified by training needs assessments and workforce competency assessments.

    The primary focus areas for this position are in the functions of gap analysis, needs assessments, and design and development of the appropriate training vehicles for filling workforce gaps. The position will also be responsible for delivering basic workforce skills training and supervisory skills training.

    Needs Analysis – 15%

    Analyzes existing workforce survey and assessment tool results. Designs and implements additional needs assessment mechanisms as necessary with concurrence of the workforce development and training manager. Identifies competency gaps based on data collected via informal and formal means and recommends solutions to gaps.

    Training Program Development – 40%

    Conducts front-end analysis based in business needs of the agency and affected work units. Using generally accepted standards for curriculum design (Cathy Moore’s Action Mapping, ADDIE), manages the design and delivery of appropriate training materials including, but not limited to: e-learning, micro-learning, email delivered courses, webinars, web content and instructor led training. Develops, tests and evaluates training support materials such as job aids and training reinforcement activities.

    Training Delivery – 30%

    Delivers high quality in-person and webinar training courses to a wide variety of audiences. May be required to travel overnight to support course delivery. Effectively conveys material and receives excellent level two evaluations from participants.

    Training Administration – 15%

    Assists with coordinating logistics and administration associated with training delivery, including correspondence announcing and sharing details of training sessions. May assist with maintenance of training records and information pertaining to training facilities. Assist with maintenance of learning management system entries.
