Job Description

The Marketing & Digital Content Manager will work with the CMO and SkillUp Worker Engagement team to grow and cultivate our audience across digital channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and email. Specifically you will design and create digital assets for social media posts; deploy approved content via our digital channels; plan and execute social-media focused campaigns; design and execute email drip campaigns; be the principal author of web copy across SkillUp.org; and work closely with our paid media agency, partners, and internal teams on various projects as they arise. The ideal candidate is passionate about our mission, has experience running social media channels and email programs, and is a creative, scrappy doer. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and develop the organic social media strategy, including an outreach strategy to like-minded partners and influencers to grow our audience

• Manage all social media channels (FB, IG, TW)

• Manage and execute our email marketing program

• Create the social,  email and web copy with a focus on consistent brand voice and messaging

• Monitor social activity,  listening and responding where appropriate

• Monitor trends in social media and relay to the team when relevant

• Report KPI’s including engagement, audience growth and content performance

Qualifications

• Vast knowledge of social media platforms, landscape and nuances

• Ideally 5-7 years of experience in marketing and/or communications

• Excellent writing skills 

• Skilled in researching, planning, project management

• Personal enthusiasm and individual initiative

• Nice to have: basic photo editing and design skills

• Nice to have: experience in the realms of social impact, advocacy, nonprofits or politics/government
