Job Description

SkillUp seeks a creative, dynamic, and passionate data professional to help support the product department in key essential functions within the SkillUp ecosystem. This person will work closely with the VP of Product in areas of data analysis, program performance, A/B testing and multivariate testing, and dashboard management and implementation. Day-to-day work will include supporting the team’s Google Analytics platform efforts (prior experience a must) for the SkillUp.org website and associated training/career posting platform. This is a 1 to 2 month, remote-based, part-time or potentially full time, PAID internship. There will be an option for ongoing freelance hours after the internship ends. This REMOTE position can be based anywhere in the United States. This role reports to the VP of Product

General Responsibilities: 

• Review the existing Google Analytics dashboard and tracking efforts and suggest improvements/corrections 

• Set up net new dashboards in Google Analytics, Google Data Studio, Tableau, etc. to meet business needs as they emerge throughout the summer

• Help SkillUp team identify opportunities for event tracking and implement events in Google Tag Manager

• Help SkillUp team analyze Google Analytics behavior flows to better understand what visitors are doing 5-10 clicks into the site

• Analyze performance of content such as resources, blog posts, and landing pages

• Support Marketing managers in analysis of national and local paid media campaigns spanning social and search platforms, including monitoring email campaign performance, audience and list segmentation processes

• Inform Marketing A/B testing and/or multivariate testing within SkillUp.org based on user analytics

• Support ad-hoc analysis efforts for SkillUp functional teams as opportunities such as surveys and focus groups emerge

• Provide forecasting support based on historical trends and segmentation opportunities

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficiency with Google Analytics platform and supporting software (Tag Manager, Data Studio, etc.)

• Proficiency with standard data analysis/visualization tools - Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel, Tableau

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to distill and communicate complex insights derived from SkillUp’s online data

RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1-2+ years experience in web analytics in the Google Analytics suite of applications

• Experience working with marketing teams on user acquisition/targeting campaigns

• Experience working in a startup environment is a plus
