Just Building Inc. is a growing residential and commercial construction company specializing in roofing, siding, windows, doors, kitchens, bathrooms, additions, and more. We are hiring a Crew Lead, responsible for overseeing daily operations at our construction sites and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to our high-quality standards. This role serves as the primary point of contact between field crews and project managers. The Crew Lead coordinates labor, equipment, and materials—across all scopes of work—to keep projects on schedule while maintaining a positive, productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision
Lead, direct, and motivate construction crew members during daily tasks.
Assign work, monitor progress, and provide on-site training and mentorship.
Communicate project goals, expectations, and changes clearly to all team members.
Project Execution & Quality Control
Ensure work is performed according to plans, specifications, codes, and company standards.
Coordinate daily activities including labor, materials, and equipment.
Perform hands-on construction tasks with their assigned crew
Inspect work throughout the day to ensure workmanship meets quality requirements.
Report issues, delays, or design discrepancies to the Project Manager.
Communication & Coordination
Serve as the on-site liaison between crews, project managers, inspectors, and clients.
Provide daily progress updates and assist with problem-solving.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in residential and commercial construction
1+ year in a leadership or foreman role.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, equipment, and blueprints.
Strong knowledge of carpentry, drywall, general electrical and plumbing preferred.
Ability to manage and coordinate crews of 2–4 workers
Proven ability to maintain deadlines while upholding safety and quality standards.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Valid driver’s license; ability to travel to various worksites.
Relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA 10/30) preferred.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
Ability to stand, walk, or kneel for extended periods.
Comfortable working at heights or in confined spaces depending on project needs.
