We are seeking a skilled and experienced Propane Service Technician with a CDL Class B to perform tank installations, service and repair, leak checks, and similar tasks. This role combines CDL driving, hands-on propane service work, and safety-focused field operations while complying with DOT, CETP, and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain a propane service vehicle in compliance with company policies and government regulations
Inspect, prepare, load, unload, and safely operate delivery and service vehicles
Review delivery and service orders prior to dispatch
Install, remove, troubleshoot, inspect, service, and repair propane tanks, piping, equipment, and appliances
Operate crane, winch, and related equipment to load, unload, and position propane tanks at customer locations
Perform gas checks, safety inspections, leak detection, and system testing
Respond to service calls including no heat, no hot water, and emergency service needs
Run propane lines, trench as required, and complete final connections to pre-installed equipment
Accurately complete daily logs, service records, delivery documentation, and reports
Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, office staff, and team members
Provide exceptional customer service and collect payments when required
Assist other drivers and technicians as needed
Conduct periodic inventory checks and report discrepancies
Follow all industry safety standards, NFPA codes, DOT requirements, and company protocols
Work nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
Qualifications
CDL Class B required (Class A preferred)
Must meet all DOT requirements
Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
1 year propane service experience required
1 year plumbing experience required
Experience with crane, winch, and generator operations
CETP certification preferred
Experience performing safety inspections and leak checks preferred
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Customer-service oriented with strong communication skills
