Trial Phase (First 3 Months): $25/hour
Progression (Months 4–9): $25- $27/hour (based on performance)
Advancement (End of Year 1): $27–$32/hour (based on performance and tenure)

Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman/Helper to join our growing construction team. This role requires a versatile tradesperson with hands-on experience across multiple trades who can support our crew in day-to-day tasks on residential renovation projects. The Skilled Handyman/Helper will not serve as a lead carpenter or independent project manager, but will play a critical role assisting with tiling, drywall, spackling, painting, light carpentry, and basic plumbing and electrical tasks under supervision. This is a growth-oriented position for someone who takes direction well, works efficiently as part of a team, and is motivated to expand their skills.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in kitchen, bathroom, and general renovation projects by performing assigned tasks efficiently and accurately.
Install and finish drywall; perform spackling, sanding, and patching.
Lay tile and apply grout for floors, walls, and backsplashes under supervision.
Paint walls, ceilings, trim, and other surfaces with professional-quality finish.
Perform light carpentry tasks such as trim, door, and hardware installation.
Support rough and finish plumbing tasks, including fixture installation and minor adjustments (under licensed supervision where required).
Support basic electrical tasks such as installing outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, and appliances (under licensed supervision where required).
Safely operate and maintain tools and equipment.
Follow direction from the Lead Carpenter, Foreman, or Project Manager to ensure work is completed on time and to company standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times.
Communicate proactively about progress, material needs, and any job site issues.
Work as part of a team with the goal of optimizing productivity and maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Required Skills & Qualifications
2–3+ years of hands-on handyman, construction, or renovation experience preferred.
Familiarity with:
Drywall hanging, spackling, and finishing
Tiling and grouting
Painting techniques
Light carpentry (trim, doors, cabinets, hardware)
Light plumbing (fixture installation, minor repairs)
Light electrical (outlets, switches, fixture installation)
Ability to use and maintain standard construction tools.
Willingness to learn and grow under the guidance of experienced carpenters.
Ability to read and follow instructions, blueprints, or sketches.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Team player with good communication skills.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
Work Conditions
Full-time position (40+ hours/week), with occasional overtime as needed.
Work performed indoors and outdoors at active construction sites.
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and stand for long periods.
Work schedule and locations vary based on client projects.
Start times may change daily depending on site access, inspections, and client availability.
Must be reachable by text or call during the week to receive daily work assignments.
Growth & Compensation Path
Trial Phase (0–3 months): $25/hour, performance evaluation at 90 days.
Months 4–9: $25 - $27/hour based on skill performance and reliability.
End of Year 1: $27 - $32/hour based on performance, independence, and contribution to project delivery.
Continued growth potential based on leadership, specialized certifications, and company needs.
There is consistent overtime available, and opportunities to work weekends.
Holiday pay.
