    Purpose: Position with an Award-winning Government Technology Solutions provider Rated#4 in Systems Development by Inc 2018, looking to expand team for a seven (7) year long Government project to support the U.S. Department of State (DoS) in Washington DC. Ideal candidate will provide data center management services to support the IT infrastructure for the HW/SW platforms on which IT systems reside and operate at two Data Centers located in the Washington, DC area.

    Requirements:

    Assist with operations of the two Data Centers infrastructure.

    Minimize impact to operations during planned Data Center maintenance.

    Plan for buildout of new infrastructure for the Data Center to include space, power, network and storage.

    Coordinate delivery and implementation of equipment.

    Manage the Data Center Access Control List and access to the Data Center.

    Coordinate, review and manage information for all Enterprise Server Operations Center (ESOC) Outage notifications.

    Coordinate the deployment of new hardware assets to replace aging equipment, which required organizing the migration of virtual infrastructure assets in such a way that data center resources could continue to be available for new hardware without causing any outages or downtime for the services still operating on the old hardware, while still minimizing the physical data center footprint.

    Coordinate hardware installation and power connection requests with site facility engineers.

    Receive and account for all line items of newly purchased equipment.

    Perform complex troubleshooting to accurately diagnose the cause of service interruptions and quickly implement resolutions.

    Develop, maintain, and communicate diagrams, system configurations and technical documentation.

    Provide and ensure availability, efficiency and effectiveness of systems, SW, HW, and data as well as technical support for testing and evaluation purposes.

    Document, track and report on the support provided to the Consular facilities report and follow-up on all trouble calls.

    Support and ensure that security and internal controls are handled in accordance with the set policies and procedures.

    Ensure that all problems and incidents are logged into the Ticket Management System and managed in accordance with the DOS policies and procedures.

    Qualifications:

    8+ years of demonstrated experience in Information Technology or related field.
