    Hours: Monday-Thursday 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with OT as required based on business need. **This will include Friday work as needed.

    Job Type: Full-Time

    We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our team at Grip-Tite Manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in machining practices, possess a keen eye for detail, and have the ability to work with precision tools and machinery. The Machinist will be responsible for setting up and operating various machine tools to produce quality parts according to specifications, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and meets the company’s quality standards.

    Key Responsibilities:

    - Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of machine tools (e.g., lathes, milling machines, grinders) to produce precision parts.

    - Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine machining operations.

    - Select and install cutting tools, attachments, and workpieces in accordance with the job requirements.

    - Monitor machine operations and inspect parts during and after manufacturing to ensure they meet tolerances and quality standards.

    - Perform necessary adjustments to machinery to correct defects or improve processes.

    - Keep detailed records of work performed, including time taken, materials used, and completed products.

    - Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

    - Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot issues and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

    Qualifications:

    - High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or vocational training in machining is preferred

    - Minimum 1 year of experience in industrial manufacturing environment

    - Proficiency operating and troubleshooting manual and CNC machining equipment.

    - Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality work that meets specifications.

    - Familiarity machining safety standards and practices.

    - Must possess strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

    - Physical stamina and strength is necessary to perform manual labor tasks as required. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs., with assistance if needed, at heights from floor level to 4 feet high. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.

    · While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be expected to work inside a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to changing temperatures (hot, cold, humid), moving mechanical parts, dust, fumes, chemicals, and loud noises. The noise level in the work environment can be loud; vibration levels are moderate.
