Employment Support for Housing Insecure Individuals - Skills for Rhode Island's Future
Job Description
SkillsRI is offering immediate job training and/or placement support to individuals at high risk of losing their housing through either eviction or foreclosure.
Rhode Island residents considered housing insecure may apply to this SkillsRI job training and/or placement program to acquire and/or retain accessible, affordable and quality housing and financial stability.
Participants of the program will work with a recruiter/employment navigator who will meet one on one with each potential program participant. The recruiter will perform an assessment, gather information about the individual’s employment history, understand the individual’s career interests and job aspirations, and ultimately identify whether the individual needs additional career enhancement services to become job ready, what job training programs might be appropriate, and/or to place the individual in a job.
