Job Description
Established food manufacture seeks Quality Assurance & Regulatory Administrative Assistant to assist department manager with: Product Safety and Consistency, Regulatory Compliance, Policy, Standard, Rule Specification, Food Safety Representative, Deviation from Standards, and Consumer Affairs.
PRODUCT SAFETY AND CONSISTENCY
- Routine tasting test and occasional testing of out of spec ingredients, routine monitoring of product, Tests and investigate food safety or quality concerns.
- Raw material evaluation and occasional supplier visits
REGULATORY COMPLIANCE
- Monitor regulations and standards of federal, local, international authorities, or third-party authorities.
- Leads and instruct different departments and members of leadership/management on these items so that corporate meets above requirements.
POLICY, STANDARD, RULE, SPECIFICATION
- Establish and maintain necessary internal policy, standards, rules, or specifications.
- Audits to verify f the operation or product meets above establish standards.
- Maintains specifications of raw materials.
FOOD SAFETY REPRESENTATIVE
- Takes the lead on corporate on food safety related issues that require investigation and resolution.
- Investigation and Research various subjects as needed..
DEVIATION FROM STANDARDS
- Recall, market withdrawal
- Handle deviations to above when necessary.
CONSUMER AFFAIRS
- Assist Consumer Affairs personnel in resolving consumer’s question and problems related to our product.
OTHER
- Other duties and projects as assigned related to corporate quality assurance.
QUALIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS
- 4 or more years of food industry experience, preferably QC, QA or R&D
- Knowledgeable of FDA, GMP, HACCP standards and associated quality systems
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of food manufacturing processes and procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Familiar with Instant Noodle production process and sciences behind
- Able to taste test all product flavors
EDUCATION
- Minimum Associate Degree in related field. Bachelor’s degree in food science or food- related or Natural Science preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Able to lift, push pull 25 pounds.
- Be on feet for prolonged periods of time while auditing plant processes.
