Responsibilities: • Act as lead counsel on personal injury cases, overseeing all phases of litigation. • Draft and file pleadings and motions with precision and attention to detail. • Lead and manage the discovery process, ensuring thorough and effective preparation. • Conduct and defend depositions, demonstrating strong questioning and advocacy skills. • Negotiate settlements in mediation and other forums, striving for favorable outcomes. • Represent clients in all court proceedings, from scheduling conferences to trial. • Provide clients with clear, informed legal advice and guidance. • Collaborate with team members to develop strategies and achieve the best possible results. • Stay current with legal developments and changes in personal injury law. Qualifications: • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. • Admission to the Virginia or West Virginia Bar, with eligibility to waive into other jurisdictions. • Demonstrated trial experience. • Strong skills in litigation and negotiation. • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Compensation: $110,000 - $150,000 yearly
