AS A PET CARE ASSOCIATE YOU WILL:
ADMINISTRATION
- Take role of boarding guests
- Reassign pet kennels for boarding and incoming guests
- Positively greet customers and welcome guests
CHECK-IN
- Man valet station for arriving guests
- Record intake inventory notes and add-ons
- Walk guests to play space
- Perform body check on guests and record findings
- Label guests with tear-away collar
- Store boarding dog belongings
CHECK OUT
- Complete Exit Inventory checklist
- Walk dogs to lobby
- Perform exit body check
- Prepare and submit exit report
CLEANING
- Clean lobby area
- Perform light and deep kennel clean
- Wash dog bowls
- Space vacuum play area
- Spot & deep clean play area
- Clean relief area
- Clean kitchen and food prep area
FEEDING
- Prepare food
- Give food and fresh water
- Record food eaten during mealtime
- Remove bowls post-meal
- Prepare & give treats
LAUNDRY
- Place facility items in washing machine
- Switch washed items into dryer
- Fold laundered items and return to designation area.
PLAY
- Swap dogs at designated intervals
- Monitor play group and address issues
- Perform ongoing temperament assessment of guests
- Update dog profile notes
- Add visit notes and take and upload photos
- Finalize and send visit report
POTTY
- Let boarding dogs out of kennels for potty time
- Record potty activity in pet profile
- Perform potty walks
TRANSITION
- Remove boarding dog belongings from kennel and store
- Move dog to post-transition kennel and perform body check
- Complete inventory checklist for each dog
YOU MUST HAVE:
- 3 weekdays of availability from 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to work on major holidays
YOU'RE GOOD AT AND ENJOY:
- Playing with dogs!
- Being dependable and punctual
- Learning hands-on dog handling and dog training skills
- Being thorough and detail-orientated when completing tasks at hand
- Picking up poop (it's the reality)
IT'D BE EXTRA AWESOME IF YOU HAVE:
- 1 year of previous animal care experience (Preferred)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Capable of physical movements requiring the use of legs, wrists, hands and/or fingers including kneeling and bending
- Repetitive arm and wrist use. Frequent grasping.
- Ability to pull up to 140 pounds
- Ability to be on feet and/or walking up to eight (8) hours per day for at least six (6) hours
- Ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds
