    Join our team at Skiptown as a Dog Trainer and play a vital role in enriching the lives of pets and their owners through positive reinforcement-based training. As a Dog Trainer, you will be responsible for conducting group classes, training sessions, addressing behavioral issues, and fostering a positive learning environment for both dogs and their owners.

    The ideal Dog Trainer candidate has…

    • Previous experience as a dog trainer
    • A passion for working with dogs and a commitment to positive reinforcement training methods
    • Availability for a full-time schedule, Sunday and Tuesday required

    What you'll do:

    • Conduct individual and on-leash group training sessions for dogs of varying ages and breeds
    • Evaluate and address behavioral issues using positive reinforcement techniques
    • Educate pet owners on effective training methods and techniques
    • Stay updated on the latest training trends and methodologies
    • Ensure a safe and positive training environment for both dogs and owners
    • Facilitate intermediate training classes and above
    • Ability to create individualized training programs based on client needs

    What you'll bring:

    • Positive reinforcement training background
    • CPDT-KA Training Certification preferred or minimum of 100 hours training experience
