    THIS IS A PROPOSAL POSITION (CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD). 

     

    SUMMARY:

    The VTC Operations Administrator oversees operations and management of all neighbored VTC bridges on the Video Communications Server cluster across three network enclaves while also providing subject matter expertise in the configuration and operations of various VTC implementations. 

     

    JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Respond to critical outages within 30 minutes. This support shall include integration and management of a robust VTC architecture in the theater and shall comply with standards dictated by DISA, USCYBERCOM, Southwest Asia Cyber Center (RCC-SWA), and JNOSC-A.
    • Operating and maintaining a central VTC control hub and VTC suites; testing and troubleshooting VTC links; coordinating troubleshooting and maintenance of other network devices to prevent VTC disruption; maintaining configurations and settings for ancillary equipment that support the VTC network; and submitting work orders and turning-in faulty equipment for repair or replacement.
    • Maintain network topology diagrams that depict all VTC bridging equipment; updates will be made within seven days of network changes.
    • Maintain VTC bridging devices and endpoints in accordance with DISA STIG policies; devices must be compliant within 30 days of policy updates. Shall begin troubleshooting problems within one (1) hour of notification; shall resolve problems within six (6) hours. Shall provide monthly inventory of all network devices.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    • Must be familiar with software and hardware components of Cisco and Polycom VTC systems to include Cisco TelePresence Management Suite, Video Communications Server, Gatekeepers, Cisco Jabber, Polycom Real Presence Desktop, and various Cisco and Polycom end points.

    • Shall demonstrate at least 1-year experience with Cisco processes to include: RMA (Return Materials Authorization) program, licensing coverage of various Telepresence systems, software licensing renewals, software licensing updates, and Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) program.

    • Shall have at least 3 years of experience providing oversight and engineering of VTC architectures and environments.

    • Shall have at least 1 year experience and understanding of the Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) architecture

    • Shall be IAT II compliant

    • Shall be CCNA Collaboration certified.

    • Shall be Freeport Certified Installer to install O&M.

     

    LOCATION: Afghanistan

     

    TRAVEL: 20% across various locations in Afghanistan

  • Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelors of Science Degree in Technology related field; Technologist certification a plus.

    • 8+ years of IT experiences & DBA working experience with Microsoft SQL Servers and/or Oracle.

    • Working knowledge of underlying operation systems, both Windows and Linux

    • Track record in SQL optimization and database high availability & disaster recovery configurations.

    • General technical background of the HW/SW platform on which the application and DBMS operates.

    • General knowledge of the application and system architecture.

    • An understanding of business processes and the databases they access, and the flow of information between processes.

    • Ability to discuss database and data management techniques and capabilities with both technical and business audiences.

    • Create and maintain accurate documentation of the architecture, tools and processes.

    • DBMS experiences in multiple platforms, including DB2/PostgreSQL/MySQL, strong pluses.

    • Programming experiences such as Windows PowerShell, Unix/Linux Shell Script

    • Must be a US Citizen
