Park City, UT family seeking a private elementary school teacher to help build & execute a secular homeschool curriculum and to provide complete instruction in all subjects to a 2nd and 4th grader for the 2021-2022 school year. Responsibilities: *Develop curriculum to meet developmental goals and instructional activities *Prepare lesson materials, grade papers, manage the classroom, and evaluate and give feedback to students *Exercise open & respectful communication with family & co-workers, *Measure progress and accomplishments of students towards their academic achievements on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required *Attend conferences and workshops in order to further advance professional development (when/if appropriate) *Manage student behavior *Provide a safe, thriving, and respectful environment for all students in the classroom Qualifications for Teacher *Bachelor's degree from an accredited university *Teaching credential/certificate/license for corresponding age/grade level *Minimum 2 years of teaching experience (in classroom) *Highly developed oral and written communication skills *Ability to build relationships effectively and professionally with family and students *Experience developing and implementing curriculum *Proven ability to maintain a safe and studious classroom environment *Demonstrated ability to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum *Experience with homeschool environments a huge plus. A schedule will be agreed upon with a qualified candidate with a flexible mindset. Salary is commensurate with experience + benefits. A valid driver's license, cleaning driving record and background check are required. Our home is located in The Colony in Park City. We have separate 1500sq ft space in our home dedicated to our school (main classroom, separate art room, separate kitchen for science and/or cooking, separate media room, separate computer lab). *This position could be live-in or live-out. If live-out, must live in Park City surrounding area OR be willing to relocate. This is not a virtual position.
