    In order to meet the needs of our rapid international growth, Sky Zone is looking for a dynamic individual to fill the open Operations Trainer role. This role supports the network through the embodiment of Sky Zone's Core Values, promoting Awesome, Healthy, Fun through WoW experiences.

    The Sky Zone Learning & Development department is a team of educators who motivate and develop all participants through learning, supporting and coaching to create behaviors that allow them to instill the Sky Zone core values and operational excellence. Operations Trainers must understand the key role this position plays in delivering a WoW training experience for our participants and act in a fashion that achieves those results.

    An Operations Trainer is a high-energy individual who is passionate about providing high-quality learning experiences and working with many different types of people in a dynamic work environment. Using training platform skills and superior interpersonal and written communication skills, Operations Trainers provide a variety of support for Sky Zone's growing network of 200+ parks. The key functions of this position are to support new park openings (world-wide), develop and deliver network-wide training (Conventions, Roadshows, etc.) and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for company initiatives and projects. The Operations Trainer provides key support in the areas of marketing pillars, park regional trainings, sales training, annual convention, park re-training, and a variety of other projects that support organizational and departmental goals. THIS ROLE REQUIRES DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL UP TO 70% OF THE TIME.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    The Operations Trainer's primary role is to effectively develop, facilitate and deliver training curriculum for both franchised and company-managed parks through different training modalities (in person, group, webinar, training guides, e-learning and more.) In addition, the Operations Trainer supports projects in an effort to drive operational excellence and overall execution of programs and processes for the entire network.

    FREQUENT TRAVEL IS REQUIRED. The Operations Trainer is required to travel 70% to locations throughout the United States, and Internationally, including overnight stays for extended periods to include weekends and some holidays.

    • Facilitate Sky Zone's 7-day Pre-Opening Training as many times as required each year in certified training parks located across the US
    • Facilitate new park On-Site Training (7 days) as many times as required each year
    • Serve as the training lead on new park development calls, ensuring a park has all materials needed for an effective park opening and Team Member training, establish the On-Site Training schedule and partner with the Regional Business Advisor to determine the park's training and opening readiness
    • Build a culture of engagement during training sessions through effective communication, teaching, encouraging involvement and seeking feedback
    • Train, communicate and influence Team Members in all levels throughout the network; Business Partners, Franchise Partners, Managers, and Team Members
    • Drive network use of Sky Zone University (LMS) by providing training and support to Franchise Partners and their management teams
    • Provide content and act as a SME for training modules on sales, marketing, guest experience, and operations
    • In coordination with the Field Training Team, write the “Training Zone” article for the network-wide newsletter, The Zone Report
    • Identify learning and development needs within the network through needs assessments and feedback processes
    • Serve as the training lead with different departments and committees to support the development of park programming, technology development, innovations, etc.
    • Support continuing education content for leadership courses and sales training
    • Develop and deliver content at training events such as Roadshows, Summits, and Conventions
    • Assume administrative and coordination duties if needed, such as sending all communication and preparing any necessary materials for programs and sessions
    • Support consistently expanding needs of the network through content and program development
    • Participate in special projects as needed
    • Other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS

    The ideal candidate has proven experience related to the areas of responsibility noted above. Some specific considerations include:

    • Bachelor's or four-year college degree a plus, or equivalent experience in the industry
    • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in the field of training or organizational development required
    • ABILITY TO TRAVEL 70% REQUIRED
    • Experience delivering training content to groups of various sizes and audiences. Must have a high level of comfort in front of groups and knowledge of adult learning principles.
    • Experience in creating training and presentation materials
    • Experience in operations, organization and project management
    • Must have superior interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
    • Proficient using Microsoft Office programs: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
    • Knowledge of franchise systems
    • Must be self-disciplined and pro-active
