    Job Summary

    A Program Director candidate has strong communication skills, some athletic management experience, and a passion for working with children. In most situations, the Program Director coaches their own group of participants but also has an extra layer of responsibilities leading program planning, coach support, customer service, attendance, equipment management, and various other tasks. All candidates are thoroughly trained and must complete both employee onboarding and a criminal background investigation. A program is only as good as its Program Director!

    Responsibilities

    As a Program Director, you will:

    Be a great communicator and organizer working closely with your coach(es)

    Lead program planning and implementation efforts using Skyhawks curriculum

    Both transport and prepare equipment and participant giveaways with the help of staff

    Head up the sign-in and parent welcome procedure along with implementing safety protocols

    Typically lead instruction with a group of participants throughout the entirety of the program

    Be a “Free Director” at larger programs roaming and supporting all participant groups

    Manage on-site program quality and the ongoing support of your assigned coach(es) - on-site locations include local community centers and parks throughout Cupertino, Los Gatos/Saratoga, Campbell, Santa Clara, San Jose, and Morgan Hill.

    Commit to the full duration of your assignments:

    Summer Camp Season - You are assigned to one or more camp formats per week that typically take place Monday through Friday 9 am-12 pm, 1-4 pm, or 9 am-3 pm

    Winter/Spring/Fall Seasons - You will be assigned to multiple classes that take place during afternoons, evenings, and weekends typically once per week over four to eight weeks

    Manage roster and turn in completed, accurate roster paperwork at the end of each program

    Be one of our leaders in the field who sets the tone for all coaches

    Qualifications

    Desire to grow as a leader and build management experience

    A high-energy, enthusiastic demeanor who can lead by example

    Multi-sport background preferred

    Flexible and adaptable

    Responsible and committed to following through on assignments

    Some experience working with kids

    Some experience coaching youth sports

    Some supervisory experience (not required)

    Desire to build experience developing youth and/or teaching sports
